Good is the enemy of great

Why I love PR:

The reason why I love PR is because it combines my two first loves – people and writing.  I believe all people and companies have a purpose and PR is the occupation that takes the lid off what that purpose is and ensures that their best hand is played every time .

I also thoroughly enjoy the new and innovative solutions that arise out of a need to communicate to a particular audience.  From stomping grapes to wearing a bridal dress while grocery shopping, there is no stone un-turned and no thought too outrageous when trying to attract a particular group of people to a product.

With a conservative background in financial PR in London, I’ve learnt how to manage events, conferences, sponsors and speakers and with experience within a consultancy and working as an editor and journalist I’ve also leant how to write specifically for the media.

Industry Experience:
Property, Professional Services & Business Services
 Wholesale, Retail & Franchising
 Well being, Leisure & Lifestyle
Career Highlights:

One of my highlights in my career would be when I strategically secured the speaker – Paul Van Buiten for The Institute of Chartered Accounts in England and Wales Conference.  Paul was a renowned accountant from Brussels who whistle blew.  This generated much publicity for the ICAEW and body guards were suggested for the said speaker at the Conference.

Another highlight from early on in my career that is a close second was seeing my press release for Captain Cook Cruises published word-for-word in the Sydney Morning Herald.

And after implementing some PR techniques for an unknown fine art painting artist, the artist is now considering opening his very own gallery due to the popularity of his works.
