Straight from the picturesque Swiss town of Biel, boutique watch making enterprise Armin Strom has brought his first design to Australia - an outstanding tribute to his talents by the name of the ‘skeleton lady'.
Armin Strom himself is a master watchmaker specialising in the delicate art of skeletonising and guilloching. Talents which have earned him the reputation of producing some of the world's most intricate and detailed watches.
This watch is unique as it is the world's smallest skeletonised watch as attested to by its listing in the Guinness Book of Records. Furthermore, the diamond encrusted version in white gold is limited to only 20 pieces worldwide.
It is hand skeletonised and hand engraved resulting in a beautiful, feminine, filigree appearance. Based on a special Armin Strom calibre ASL07 with 17 jewels, it is hand wound and has a power reserve of 38 hrs.
The case is polished white gold, the bezel set with 33 diamonds, 1.80mm, 1.34Ct, top Wesselton/VVS. Other features of the case include an anti-reflective, sapphire crystal case front and back
The dial is in white gold with diamond indices, 0.27 Ct, Top Wesselton/VVS and the bracelet is a genuine alligator leather strap with 18Ct white gold clasp.
Biel itself is known for its watchmaking tradition and well-known companies such as Omega, Rolex, Rado and Perrelet also base their operations there.
