Melbourne's Biggest Ever Bridal Expo
Melbourne's biggest ever bridal expo has been chosen as the first public event to be hosted in the $23 million redevelopment of the Docklands Shed 14.
With more than 200 displays, six fashion parades that include replica celebrity wedding dresses and a $30,000 jewelled wedding gown, together with the largest bridal vehicle display ever seen in Melbourne, more than 1500 brides are expected to attend the two-day event on 13th and 14th October 2007.
There are thousands of dollars in prizes to be won over the celebratory weekend, including a seven-night honeymoon to Pimbali Resort Thailand and a $3000 photography package from Foeden Photography.
The Docklands Bridal Spectacular gives prospective brides the opportunity to plan, sample and gather information on every aspect of their big day - including complimentary hair and make-up trials.
Complimentary pamper bags will be given to each attendee with first 100 brides receiving a free copy of The Bride's Diary and Melbourne Wedding and Bride.
In addition to the bridal expo, auditions for the inaugural Amazing Bridal Race will also take place at the event where 10 couples will be selected to take part in a bridal adventure race to be held in January 2008.
The three-day quest will see the couples competing in physical and psychological challenges against the backdrop of some of Victorian famous landmarks - all in pursuit of the $20,000 in cash and prizes.
Entry to the expo is $12.00, with a percentage of the proceeds being donated to Breast Cancer Research.
