Publicity Queen Recruits Former Vice Regal Advisor
Fresh from a coveted position as Senior Adviser to the current Governor of Queensland, Brisbane-born writer and publicist Libby Collett is the latest to join the team at Publicity Queen.
Former Australian diplomat, and senior public servant in State and Local Government in Western Australia and Victoria, Ms Collett brings more than 15 years experience in various public affairs roles to her new position, which will see her play a key support to all of Publicity Queen’s clients.
Having worked in most states of Australia and for a diverse range of clients, Ms Collett says she relishes the opportunity to work in corporate public relations. Her new role is most akin to a high profile position she previously held as National Media Advisor to Australia Post.
Ms Collett said she looked forward to assisting Publicity Queen to deliver quality services to its current clients, and to continue the company’s reputation as thought leaders in the field of public relations.
Among Ms Collett’s most exciting new duties will be the development of a social media strategy to harness the power of social media tools to drive online exposure and coverage of Publicity Queen and its clients.
Ms Collett is a mother of two young boys, and a volunteer strategist and advisor to the newly-created Simon Buckley Foundation, an organisation that carries on the legacy of her recently deceased friend Simon Buckley, who was killed in Argentina last year while touring the world on his motorbike to raise awareness about men’s health.
