Good is the enemy of great

Publicity Queen Scores Front Page of The Australian Financial Review

 November 2009

Publicity Queen has scored another front page coup, this time on behalf of C3 Business Solutions, in one of Australia’s most respected newspapers.

Page one of Fairfax’s prestigious national finance daily broadsheet, The Australian Financial Review, on Monday 2 November 2009 featured a story pitched by Publicity Queen detailing how more than 100 Australian business executives could be personally liable under proposed new legislation on carbon emissions.

Publicity Queen worked closely with the AFR’s Information Editor Paul Smith on the exclusive story over a three-month period.  The outcome was welcomed by C3 Business Solutions, an Australian business intelligence and data management consulting firm that works with blue-chip clients as well as Government Departments.

PRincipal of Publicity Queen, Sally Romano, said the front page scoop was pleasing, and testament to the importance of working closely with clients, and collaboratively with media targets to identify and develop great news stories.

“It just shows you that a good story will get a run – if it’s newsworthy and interesting and important; it is the content that matters,” Ms Romano said.  It also demonstrates the power of linking a client’s work with topical items and current issues.
