Publicity Queen was retained by SkillSoft as their Australian PR advisors. Since achieving successful results within Australia, Publicity Queen's role for SkillSoft has now expanded to the Asia Pacific.
SkillSoft (Nasdaq SKIL) is a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider of on-demand e-learning and performance support solutions for global enterprises, government, education and small- to medium-sized businesses.
With more than 3000 corporate and government accounts and more than 10 millions learners, SkillSoft is now sold in 65 countries worldwide.
Founded in 1998, SkillSoft was one of the first companies to bring business skills training to an e-learning environment.
OBJECTIVES
- To enhance the branding of SkillSoft not only in Australia, but in the Asia Pacific Region, specifically Singapore and India
- To promote Glenn Nott as a leading e-learning expert and thought leader for organisational development
- To position e-learning as a valuable tool for businesses and enterprises
CHALLENGES
- To achieve media attention in this new area of business (e-learning)
- As a multi-million dollar, worldwide company, SkillSoft had relatively low brand recognition in Australia and was not widely recognised
CONCEPT
- A central PR strategy was to develop and proactively seek opportunities for SkillSoft MD, Glenn Nott to connect with the media
- Leveraging off SkillSoft's enormous international success, build SkillSoft's credibility locally and attract recognition through case studies and strategic alliances
- Educate the media about e-learning and its benefits
RESULTS
- SkillSoft won a Gold Award at the LearnX Asia Pacific Awards 2009 for e-learning and training. They were the first and only e-learning company to win an award
- Support sales team by delivering high quality content for potential clients, for example white papers and podcasts
- Built solid working relationships for Glenn Nott with key editors Australia-wide
- Media exposure includes feature articles in Human Capital, Training Development and BRW magazine
